Bus Stop

SamTrans provides service to San Mateo County.

The Bus Stops

This stop is located at the Menlo Park Caltrain Station.

This is what the back of use of their signs looks like.  It shows why the routes numbers are used for each route.

One version of a SamTrans bench.  All I have seen have the SamTrans name on them.

This is a close-up of the sign at the stop pictured at left.

This stop on Hwy. 1 at Pigeon Point still has the old route number on it.  This was still in the field many months it was deleted.

One version of a SamTrans shelter.  I have seen other shelter styles they use.

One version of a SamTrans information sign.

Yes the stop is in a right turn lane, and yes the bus went straight.  A common problem.

The Buses

Tracked and Captured at the Colma BART Station.

SamTrans bus pulling service on the RRX for Caltrain.

Ambushed at the Menlo Park Caltrain Station.

Bus was captured at the Palo Alto Caltrain Station.

Some Comments:  While out taking some of these pictures, on Nov. 26, 1999, we noticed that there were still some stops with the old route numbers (5L etc.) on them.  There were also many stops that were no longer being served as a result of the August 15, 1999 service changes that were still in the field.  All that we noticed did have paper tags on them saying that service to the stop had been deleted.
